Coursework and research participation provide students with opportunities to learn how the body functions and how these functions are affected by stress and disease. The Physiology and Medical Sciences major from University of Arizona prepares students to continue their studies, following completion of the BS in Health Sciences degree, in graduate or professional school pursuing a career in fields related to health science, basic research, or health care. The major curriculum includes many of the courses required for application to schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, etc.
