Public Health – Medicine degree offered by the University of Arizona allows a student to earn a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Master of Public Health (MPH). The emphasis of the MD/MPH Dual Degree is on Clinical Leadership; it is anticipated that graduates will be leaders in a wide variety of clinical and public health settings.

The MD/MPH program is designed to give students exposure to the public health, prevention and clinical issues they will face, and provide a framework for problem solving and implementing effective health programs.

During the third year, MD/MPH students continue to remain enrolled as medical students while they take remaining MPH core and elective classes during the first semester, and complete their MPH internship during the second semester.
